SSH/Telnet Documentation
SSH Clients are terminal emulation programs that use the Secure Shell (SSH) protocol; the SSH protocol is a secure replacement for the traditional telnet protocol. As of January 2004, NSIT will require that all access to our servers use secure communication channels. Correspondingly, regular telnet programs will not work with NSIT run servers; instead follow the instructions below for installing and using SSH.
You can pick up a copy of our recommended SSH Clients from the NSIT Connectivity Package.
