Recovering a deleted file
When you delete a file, WebShare doesn't immediately delete it, but instead moves it into your Trash folder. If you delete a file by accident, you can move or copy the file out of your trash to restore it.
Files in your Trash count against your total home directory quota. Therefore, if you need to free up some space in your account, emptying the trash should help.
To restore a deleted file
- Click the Trash
folder located in your home directory listing. You may not see your
trash directory until you've deleted an item for the first time. - A list of files you have previously deleted displays. Find the file or directory you want to restore and select the checkbox to the direct left of the item(s).
- Click the Move
button in the top toolbar. - Enter the destination directory to where you wish to restore your file or directory or browse to the directory to where you wish to move the file or directory. Removing "/trash" from the default destination path restores the item to your home directory.
- Click the Ok button.
