Mozilla Firefox Pop-Up Blocking
One of Firefox's nicest features is its ability to automatically block unsolicited pop-ups. By default this feature is enabled – you simply need to start surfing the web to take advantage of the feature.
Because it is automatically enabled, you don't need to make any configuration changes. However it is certainly possible to disable this feature and if you'd like to re-enable the feature, follow the instructions below:
- go to Firefox's preferences menu
- Tools → Options for Windows
- Firefox → Preferences for the Mac
- Edit → Preferences for Unix/Linux
- Click on the Content tab

- You can configure exceptions to this rule by clicking on the "Exceptions..." button.
Please note: some web pages which use pop-up windows may not work with this setting. The University Webmail's system will work but if you encounter any difficulties with other sites that use pop-up windows, trying turning this setting off. If pop-up blocking was the problem, you can enable an exception by clicking on "Add Sites", entering the URL of the site, and clicking "Add".
